Outdoor Kitchens

What it takes

Built to be cooked in, not just looked at.

An outdoor kitchen fails on the details: cabinetry that swells, a grill with nowhere for the heat to go, a sink with no proper drain.

We build them with real ventilation, gas and water run to code, and materials that survive being outside all year in Los Angeles.

  • Gas, water and drainage run to code
  • Cabinetry and stone specified for outdoors
  • Ventilation and clearances done properly

Scope

What we take on.

Built-in gas grills

Set into masonry with the clearances and ventilation the appliance actually requires.

Countertops and prep zones

Porcelain and stone that take heat and sun without staining or fading.

Outdoor sinks and cabinets

Marine-grade or masonry cabinetry with plumbing that can be drained down.

Pizza ovens and smokers

Sited and flued so the smoke goes up rather than into the seating.

Bar seating and counters

Heights and overhangs that work for stools rather than looking right on a drawing.

Patio cooking areas

The whole run tied into the patio, the shade and the way you move around it.

Common Questions

The things people ask us first.

Can you connect gas?
Yes, run and permitted properly. It is one of the reasons this is not a good weekend project.
What survives outdoors best?
Porcelain slab and masonry for surfaces, marine-grade or masonry cabinetry underneath. We will walk you through the trade-offs.
Can it tie into the indoor kitchen?
Often, and it is usually worth it. Sliding doors and a shared run make both rooms bigger.
